Coaching Process and Flow

Each coaching session is designed to be interactive, focusing on real-world applications and reflective learning. The flow of individual and team coaching supports the overall leadership journey, with sessions building on the content from the Super Leaders programme and preparing leaders and teams for the Shark Tank and Cross Examination phases.

The individual coaching sessions are aimed at helping leaders develop key competencies in areas such as emotional intelligence, AI integration, and sustainability-driven leadership, while the team coaching sessions focus on improving team dynamics, innovation, and strategic project execution. The coaching framework ensures that both personal leadership growth and team collaboration are nurtured, preparing leaders to excel in the Super Leaders journey and contribute effectively to your strategic objectives.

This coaching model emphasises experiential learning and accountability, ensuring that leaders are ready to apply their new skills directly to the projects that will shape the future of the organisation.

Phase 4 of the leadership development journey—The Coaching Process—is a critical element designed to reinforce the skills, knowledge, and leadership competencies acquired during the earlier phases of the programme. Through a combination of individual and team coaching sessions, the coaching process aligns with your strategic objectives by fostering individual growth, enhancing team dynamics, and promoting practical application of leadership skills in real-world settings. This phase complements the overarching goals of leadership development initiative by ensuring that leaders are prepared to meet the organisations business needs, while simultaneously developing personal leadership competencies.

During the Super Leaders phase we indenting a critical mass of 10% of the leaders who will undergo promised one on one coaching. This is over and above the group coaching. Its purpose is to provide high potential change agents with the skills to act as game changers and be catalysts for other leaders in the process to apply what they have learned in the subsequent phases. They will act as secondary in house coaches in the process and be challenged to champion the internal team coaching process as part of the objective oriented project phase. This percentage can be revised based on budget availability. In our experience the critical mass of 10 to 15% is viable for this process to achieve the desired outcome.

The individual coaching sessions aim to cultivate visionary leadership by enhancing self-awareness and personal growth. This focus ensures that leaders gain a deep understanding of their emotional intelligence, allowing them to reflect on how their leadership style influences decision-making, team dynamics, and collaboration. By utilising tools such as the Enneagram or Gallup StrengthsFinder, leaders become more attuned to their strengths and areas for development, enabling them to lead with confidence and empathy in diverse environments. This not only enhances personal leadership effectiveness but also contributes to the organisations competitive advantage by fostering leaders who can inspire and guide their teams toward strategic goals.

The coaching sessions are designed to help leaders navigate complex and rapidly changing environments, a key focus of technological savvy and decision-making in a digital world and emotional intelligence and adaptive leadership themes. These coaching sessions equip leaders with the skills to leverage AI-driven decision-making tools, balance technology with human intuition, and lead teams through periods of transformation with empathy and resilience. Leaders also work on adaptive thinking frameworks, which strengthen their ability to manage diverse teams during times of uncertainty. This emphasis on adaptability ensures that leaders are capable of responding to both technological disruptions and human-centered challenges.

Driving innovation through ambidextrous leadership is a critical coaching theme that enhances market differentiation by preparing leaders to balance short-term operational performance with long-term strategic innovation. By integrating tools such as the BMC Strategy Tool and Design Thinking frameworks, leaders are trained to explore creative solutions within existing business models, driving both operational efficiency and innovation. This dual focus allows leaders to continuously evolve their leadership approaches, ensuring that your organisation remains at the forefront of the financial services market by consistently delivering innovative and market-differentiating solutions.

The coaching sessions also contribute to the creation of a lasting leadership legacy by embedding principles of sustainability and accountability within leadership practices. The sustainability-driven leadership and accountability coaching theme equips leaders with the knowledge and skills to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into their leadership approach, ensuring that they lead with purpose and drive business sustainability goals.

By holding themselves and others accountable for sustainability outcomes, leaders are empowered to create long-term impact, reinforcing the group’s commitment to responsible growth and a lasting leadership legacy that extends beyond short-term business performance.

The team coaching sessions are designed to foster a group-led leadership mindset by improving team dynamics and promoting collaborative leadership across the organisation. In the session on enhancing team dynamics and collaborative leadership, teams engage in exercises that focus on building trust, leveraging diverse strengths, and improving communication within cross-functional and cross-border teams. The use of tools like Trello and Asana ensures that leaders can manage tasks effectively and promote open communication, aligning team projects with organisational goals. This collaborative approach supports broader cultural objectives and strengthens the leadership framework by ensuring that leaders work cohesively toward common objectives.

The coaching process helps prepare your organisation for the future by fostering agility and innovative thinking within teams. The agile team leadership and innovation session encourages leaders to build agile teams capable of adapting quickly to changing business environments and customer needs. Through the use of tools like Miro for brainstorming and collaborative innovation exercises, leaders learn to foster creative solutions to complex challenges, ensuring that their teams remain responsive and future-ready. This focus on agility and innovation directly aligns with your objective of developing leaders who are equipped to lead the organisation through future market dynamics and challenges.

Throughout the coaching process, leaders are trained to develop and apply critical and future leadership skills, ensuring they remain relevant and effective in a rapidly changing business landscape. Themes such as technological savvy and decision-making, emotional intelligence, and sustainability-driven Leadership ensure that leaders are equipped with the tools to lead in both technology-first environments and complex, human-centered situations. These coaching sessions reinforce the key leadership competencies identified in earlier phases, such as AI integration, decision-making, innovation, and sustainability, ensuring that leaders are well-prepared for the challenges of the future.

One of the core objectives of the coaching process is to ensure team accountability in executing projects. The accountability and strategic project execution session focuses on setting clear accountability measures and aligning team projects with key performance indicators (KPIs) that are critical to organisational success. By preparing teams for the Shark Tank and Cross Examination phases, the coaching sessions ensure that leaders are ready to present and defend their projects, driving alignment between team efforts and strategic organisational objectives. This focus on accountability and strategic execution ensures that leaders not only develop individual skills but also contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
